In the first episode of Season 2, Barb Henrickson (Jeanne Tripplehorm) enrolls in a master's degree program in social work at the University of Utah. Also in Season 2, Barb's daughter Sarah (Amanda Seyfried) starts dating Scott (Aaron Paul) who initially thinks she is a student at the University, but she admits to him that she's a high-school senior.
